A master handloom weaver threading warp yarns by hand at his wooden loom in a village workshop

A story from our weavers

In a region of Eastern India where the rhythm of the handloom echoes through generations, lives Mubarak, a master handloom weaver whose story is woven into every thread he creates.

Mubarak began weaving when he was just a young boy, learning the craft beside his elders. What started as necessity became devotion. Today, he is a grandfather to two young children, yet every morning he still sits at his wooden loom with the same patience, dignity and quiet pride.

His hands move with memory. Memory of tradition, discipline and heritage. Each length of linen he weaves is not just fabric; it is decades of experience, countless hours of dedication and a legacy that refuses to fade.

Handloom weaving is slow. It is intentional. It cannot be rushed. And Mubarak represents that timeless spirit, proving that true luxury is not made by machines, but by hands that understand the soul of cloth.

Through his work, families are supported, heritage is preserved and Eastern India's weaving tradition continues to live on.

CRAFTED WITH INTENTION

Designed here. Made slowly, there.

We thoughtfully design our products here in Australia and produce them in small batches in a village in Eastern India.

Our signature linen is hand-loomed from premium European flax. We work closely with our manufacturing partners to preserve traditional weaving techniques while creating meaningful, sustainable employment that helps keep families together.

We are consistently developing new fabrics together and testing different applications and designs. No matter how wild our ideas are, our suppliers support us in our creative endeavours, delivering high-quality prototypes that allow us to refine and create truly intentional products.

For us, exceptional design starts with exceptional materials.

01

Naturally breathable

A natural fibre known for being breathable and hypoallergenic. It helps keep you cool in the summer months and warm in the winter.

02

Strong & supportive

Linen is remarkably strong, making it an ideal fabric for babywearing and helping to distribute your baby's weight comfortably.

03

Machine washable

Designed for real family life and machine washable. Follow the care instructions to help preserve your fabric over time.

04

Gets better with time

Linen softens beautifully with use, developing more character and becoming even more comfortable over time.

05

Naturally imperfect

Handwoven linen often has slubs and variations. These are not flaws, they are part of what makes handwoven fabric unique.

06

A reflection of hands

Every variation is a record of the human hands behind it, and of the loom it was made on.
