Caring For Your Linen

Our carriers are made from handwoven linen with a soft cotton fill. Natural fibres are designed to soften and develop character over time, but they do benefit from considered care.

Washing your carrier

Before washing, fasten all plastic clips to prevent them from catching during the wash (For slings and wraps unthreading rings.)

We recommend placing your carrier inside a large wash bag before washing. This helps protect the plastic clips and the carrier itself during the wash cycle.

  • Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle
  • Use a mild detergent
  • Wash with similar colours and fabrics
  • Avoid bleach, fabric softener and harsh detergents

We recommend washing your carrier only when needed. For small marks or spills, spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent is often all that is required.

Drying your carrier

After washing, gently reshape the carrier and air dry naturally in the shade.

Avoid tumble drying, as high temperatures can cause natural fibres to shrink and may affect the colour, shape and structure of the carrier.

Caring for the linen

Handwoven linen has a natural texture and will soften with use and washing. Some variation in texture and the occasional crease are part of the character of the fabric.

For a smoother finish after washing, hot steam ironing is recommended. Iron the linen panels carefully, taking care around the seams, stitching and plastic clips. Do not place a hot iron directly over the plastic clips or rings.
